We can get you ready for Spring & by participating in our program, you have first access to seasonal courses and ongoing support.
Backyard beekeeping is the latest trend but an unmanaged hive doesn't thrive. Don't get overwhelmed by all the conflicting info out there - learn with us with our successful step by step program guiding the way to a fun and rewarding hobby.

This is entry into our entire BeeSmart program & community.
It isn't a taster glossing over bees and beekeeping but will give you the knowledge & basic fundamentals to get you going with your own colony with more confidence.
You will be offered first chance for a demonstration of bee husbandry with tips & tricks at different times throughout the season. You will learn to read the frames and problem solve to give them the best care they deserve.
Springtime is the best time to start your hobby so our time frames are perfect to plan, setup and be ready to get your bees.
COURSE: GETTING STARTED WITH BACKYARD BEEKEEPING is where we drill down & learn how to properly manage & care for your bees as beginners. Behind the scenes support is the bonus for joining our group too.
Hands on field days (Step 2) are our favorite classes to ensure you gain the necessary experience to safely handle your colony. They begin in Springtime through to Summer and our current students get an exclusive invitation.
Additional offerings include and are not limited to honey harvesting, winter packdown and heaps more.

This is a perfect activity during Winter or prior to acquiring bees. We recommend to improve your knowledge and understanding of bee beehaviour and legal requirements before plunging into the financial outlay or environmental awareness of handling bees.
Join Bec for a fun, interactive workshop with loads of info and displays. Colony management is crucial to healthy bees - this course is full of tips, tricks and techniques.

- No cancellations permitted - you are welcome to pass on your seat to a friend or relative for the same day training
- Students are welcome to move to the next scheduled course provided notification in writing is received more than 5 days prior to course start date and space is available in that class. Transfers must be used within the same calendar year or are forfeited as no shows.
- No Shows forfeit any refunds & cannot transfer to another date.
- Becs BeeHive reserves the rights to refuse registration entry to anyone considered unsuitable for the course as they see fit
- COVID Lockdown impacts - you have the choice of a full refund or an alternative class opportunity to fulfil our curriculum needs as pre-requisite for our program entry.
